Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard courts

A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his maiden title for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.

Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid period, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.

The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.

Currently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.

This marks his first championship since the Rome competition and initial on a hard court since spring of the previous year.

Victory also signifies Medvedev has won 21 championships at twenty-one distinct events.

"For the first time I have attended a competition with my children simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," stated ranked player Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."

The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.

The player's retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on court had caused some to doubt if his skill to play at the elite level was over.

But the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serve.

He recovered from a break down in the opening set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the last five points to take the lead.

The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden professional victory, seized the initiative to push for a third set.

Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a competitive final set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.

Suitably, Medvedev secured victory with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
